Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu: Student leader who rose up the ranks to helm hill state

A student leader who gradually emerged through the ranks from the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday was chosen as leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) in Himachal Pradesh, paving the way for his elevation as the new chief minister.
