US NSA Jake Sullivan has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s State visit to the US will focus on defence, technology, economic cooperation, and people-to-people ties. Sullivan also emphasized the importance of the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET), and the potential for cooperation in emerging technologies, supply chain diversification, and reform of multilateral development banks. While acknowledging shared concerns about China, Sullivan emphasized that the bilateral relationship between India and the US is founded on goodwill between people, private sectors, academia, and governments.
