Law to prevent disrespect of Hindu Gods, âAhimsaâ in Preamble, demand lawmakers
BJP lawmaker Ashok Bajpai has demanded a law to prevent disrespect of Hindu deities through writing, painting, or any visual medium. He said tolerance shown by Hindus is being perceived as a weakness and urged the government to take action. Biju Janata Dal MP Sasmit Patra also called for the inclusion of Ahimsa (non-violence) in the preamble of the Constitution.
