Yamuna recedes but fresh rain keeps Capital on tenterhooks
The Yamuna River in Delhi has started to recede, allowing authorities to reopen several key roads that were closed due to waterlogging caused by the flooding. However, some areas are still waterlogged and there is a risk of further rainfall overnight. The flood situation has prompted schools to close and offices to operate from home. The Chief Minister of Delhi has assigned ministers to supervise relief and rehabilitation efforts in flood-hit districts.
