Legal tussle over who invented butter chicken and dal makhani reaches Delhi high court

Moti Mahal, the restaurant credited with inventing butter chicken, has sued rival restaurant Daryaganj for claiming it was their ancestor who created the dish. The lawsuit seeks to stop Daryaganj from making the claim and seeks damages of ₹2 crore ($280,000) for alleged misuse. Daryaganj has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
