The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) plans to bring a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Narendra Modi?s government to force him to address issues such as the Manipur situation. However, the motion is unlikely to pose a threat to the government, which has majority support in the Lok Sabha. The Congress has issued a whip to its MPs to be present for the motion, and signatures of at least 50 lawmakers supporting the motion will be collected. This would be the second no-confidence motion against Modi’s government, following one in 2018.
